Statistics

It should be noted that statistics on this site will not be a true reflection of the numbers of cases of assault and abuse seen in The Bahamas.

It is therefore advised that when using the figures published by the Crisis Centre, statistics should also be requested from The Department of Social Services Research Section for Child Abuse and the Royal Bahamas Police Force Research Department for Rape and Domestic Violence.

It should also be noted that many cases of assault and abuse are never reported for various reasons and that, even when all sources of statistics have been explored, the actual figures for incidents of assault and abuse, would most likely be much higher.
